Thistlewood Manor & Gardens

People often ask me what brought us to build Thistlewood Manor.  This bride tells you why!  We simply love making people happy with great food and hospitality!  While I have been planning and dreaming of something like this for many years, God was working in various ways preparing us for the right time.  And then, He made everything come together to create this incredible place. Watching the gardens grow almost daily is a constant reminder of His blessings.

Our continued desire, as we grow, is to share our hospitality and help make people feel special in what is truly a beautiful space.

Recently I’ve been reading some disturbing news*:  fewer and fewer people are getting married, and even fewer are having children.   It is very sad that so many are missing out on the joys of marriage and family, and, further, a society simply cannot continue to be successful without the backbone of families.

While there are many reasons people these days are not choosing marriage, I believe one must be the high cost of a wedding. Seriously, not that many of us can actually afford that “average $30,000 wedding.”  Of course, here at Thistlewood Manor  we love weddings and seeing happy couples come together in love, so it simply breaks my heart when a couple tells us they cannot afford us, even though they may love us.
