The Trade Entertainment

High school sweethearts Charlie and Tamara have been married since 2001. They spent the first decade of their relationship growing as artists by traveling the world. When backpacking through fifteen countries, they were exposed to several different cultures of the world. The Trade Entertainment grew from their love of performance and the culmination of over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. They have recently expanded their family with the birth of their adorable sons Carlo, Leo and Mateo. It was a natural progression for Charlie and Tamara to be collaborating their music, dance, and performance backgrounds to create The Trade Entertainment and they hope to share that passion with you.

Charlie Perez is an entrepreneur, musician, and instructor. Charlie is a native Houstonian and his artistic journey began when he attended The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). He graduated from University of Houston with an Anthropology degree focusing on Musicology. Charlie has toured the world playing drums and other percussion. You can catch him performing in Houston sometimes seven days a week with one of his bands including salsa, Brazilian, Cuban, & jazz. He is trusted for booking music entertainment for regular weekly venues, corporate events, weddings, and special events. He has recorded with numerous artists and has released a few of his own CDs

Tamara Perez is a renowned belly dancer, choreographer, and Pilates instructor. Lebanese by origin but a Houstonian at heart, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Houston with a BA in Psychology. She is co-owner of BellaDonna Dance Company and has personally trained many of the city’s top belly dance performers. She was one of the most sought-after dance artists in Houston for over 10 years and has been booking dance entertainment for family-friendly events for even longer. She has an eye for spotting talent and working with performers to develop their craft. Tamara also owns a private Pilates studio and is currently choreographing different genres of dance.
