Steven Merrill Studio

Steven Merrill has over 30 years experience in makeup artistry and facials and over 17 years experience in hair services, including cut, color and styling.

It all began with Chanel in 1981 when Steven began working as a make-up artist on their main accounts at Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Saks 5th Avenue, Marshall Field’s and Sakowitz in Houston.

Two years later, Steven was in business for himself providing facials and makeup instruction.

In the late 1980′s, Steven moved to Paris, working as a makeup artist for the Parisian prêt a porter (ready to wear) shows including: Thierry Mugler, Bernard Perris, Dorothee Bis and Sonya Rykeil among others.

Back state-side Steven also studied under Hollywood make up artists Maurice Stein and The Westmores. Steven’s clients included Cybill Shepard, Queen Faruta of Egypt and models Dianne DeWitt and Beverly Johnson. In addition to doing runway shows for Perry Ellis, Halston, Micheal Volbracht and Victor Costa.
