Chef Monleón and Chef Sarlatte met in 2000 while working at a restaurant. Having both lived in Spain, the two bonded over their mutual admiration for its culture and cuisine. Sarlatte and Monleón knew they wanted to bring the Spanish dining experience here to the Bay Area, and in 2012 they started selling Spanish food at local festivals and markets. The enormous paella pans drew big crowds and their fresh flavors quickly gained them a large following, which led to the launch of Ñora Cocina Española, a full service catering company specializing in rustic weddings, private parties, and corporate functions.
