Inventive Events quietly sprouted in 2009 as a hobby for owner, Lexi Snyder.
Without thinking much in to it, she steadily picked up more requests to plan other’s events as she simultaneously achieved a degree in psychology and a master’s degree in business from
the university of houston.
she then prospered in “Corporate America” as a Contracts Negotiator for Procurement Departments in large companies, but outside of her skill set of Negotiations and Strategic Purchasing, eventually she began searching for a more meaningful career. It was around this time that she stumbled on the idea of turning her event planning hobby in to an actual full-time job…thus giving life to Inventive Events!
It all started out as your traditional Company that offered both Coordination and Planning services. Although successes came from both extensions of the Firm, Lexi saw us one-too-many-times having to walk away from potential Clients who honestly just needed the support from an experienced Wedding Planner. The issue always stemmed from budgets not permitting the cost of a traditional Planner, and it was justifiable, considering these Clients were already paying a pretty penny for the important day itself.
In return, those Clients would understandably then only book for the more-budget-friendly Coordination package, mistakenly leaving us out of the most important process of event planning; vendor recruitment.
