Falafel Salam is a Middle Eastern restaurant located in the heart of the West Seattle Junction. We also operate a food truck on Seattle streets and a booth at select farmers markets. It all began in 2009 in a little booth at the Fremont Sunday Market. Equipped with only a pot of grease, thermometer and a big dream of serving the best falafel in Seattle, Chef Shimi Kahn began changing the world one sandwich at a time.

Over the years, the values of the farmers markets where we served our food, began being part of our values. Every year we dropped different processed “foods” and opted to make our own from scratch. Before we knew it we were baking our pitas fresh daily, grinding organic garbanzo beans from Alvarez Farms (WA) and sourcing chicken and lamb locally, organic and free-range.

9 years later making fresh food from scratch has become the core of our philosophy. We began offering a whole new line of fresh homemade deli items including fresh spreads, a wide variety of pickled mezze and high end imported olives, all of which are made from scratch, using premium ingredients you can pronounce.
